Look at the torch on the reverse. If the horizontal lines of the torch are complete and unbroken, the coin is called Full Torch and brings a premium in Mint State.

Mint mark position
D and S sit on the reverse to the left of the torch base. Philadelphia coins have none.
About the 1950-S Roosevelt
How much is a 1950-S Roosevelt Dime worth?
Lustre's editorial estimate (Oct 2026) is $5–$6 for circulated examples (G-4 to EF-40) and $27–$33 in MS-65. These are estimates, not an appraisal or market data. A coin in the grade you hold may sell for less at a dealer, who needs a margin.
Is a 1950-S Roosevelt Dime silver?

20,440,000 were struck at the San Francisco Mint.
Where is the mint mark on a Roosevelt Dime?
On the reverse, at the lower left to the left of the torch. Philadelphia coins have no mint mark.
Is my 1950-S Roosevelt Dime rare?
No. It is a common date. Its value depends mostly on grade, originality and, for silver coins, the melt value.
